Today a lady named Ms. Sue came and told us about bullying, how to stand up for ourselves, and did three activities with us. The first one was an icebreaker. We caught the ball and whichever emotion was under our thumb we acted out after we said our name. Then, we stated which emotion we acted out. It wasn’t very fun. After that, we did an activity where we stood up when she said a statement that was true about you. She said things like have you every damaged somebodies property or has anyone ever damaged your property. I didn’t really get the point of it. Next, we filled out the first page of our packet which was about our experiences with bullying. We wrote our experience and what happened on a heart (which I really was uncomfortable doing!). We cut it up in three pieces, kept one and gave the other ones to the other people in our group. They wrote good things about the person and gave them back. That was my favorite part. We read the rest of the packet and we did one more activity. We passed the ball around and said what we learned, our least favorite part or our favorite part.
